Great Community Expansion:

Great Community (GC) is expanding its efforts to help create a better tomorrow for our military members. When GC started our main objective was supporting military cancer patients and their families. Even though this is still our first objective, we have now added a second, our injured military members returning from the war in Iraq.

In the past couple of months we have been working closely with our new vets and rewarding them with special visits to meet Charger and NFL players, trips to special events like UFC fights, boxing matches, Padres games, and celebrity parties.

This will be a full time journey for Great Community and its staff starting 2009.

We are asking the community to come together and help us keep our efforts going. Great community is now a part of Athletes for Education (AFE) a full 501(C)3 located in San Diego . AFE is an organization composed of current and former athletes, entertainers, business and community leaders. They serve as mentors partnering together to help our youth in the community help themselves. By hosting special events and raising funds to benefit youth programs, we look to achieve our goals of a better community.

GC goal is to reach $125,000 by the end of the year. This will allow us to triple our efforts in 2009.

The money raised will benefit our military cancer families, creating special events for our injured military and program management.
